UNL3ASH3D was created in early 2021 by Leah Zaccaria, owner and founder of shefayoga®. UNL3ASH3D is a blend of yoga, ecstatic dance, kriyas, and vocalization with music by DJ Vegas Tagus for a unique experience that is somatic and exhilarating.
Through 15 years of teaching yoga and training people to become yoga teachers, Leah was inspired to help people feel wild and free by unleashing their emotions through movement, breath, and sound. She believes that all emotions are valid and need to be felt. Because if we feel, we heal. Non-expressed emotions store in our bodies and manifest into disease- emotionally, mentally and physically. Therefore, we must feel these emotions so that they can transform and release.
Leah targets emotions that are typically abandoned: anger, shame, resentment, sensuality, and sexuality among many other emotions. Through yoga, yoga kriyas (repetitious movement to invoke emotions), ecstatic dance, and vocalization (screaming, shouting, singing, swearing, celebration), these emotions are moved, shifted and released in a way that is energizing, inspiring and fun!
All of this happens in a conscious container held by Leah and with the amazing music from DJ Vegas Tagus. DJ Vegas Tagus has been a DJ for 20 years and plays open format to a wide variety of audiences. The music ranges from pop to hip hop to old school beats. This brings a high intensity energy, leaving everyone sweaty and UNL3ASH3D!
